On the 1st June, magic returned to Saxun, thanks to the great Luis Piedrahita and all of us who make up this great family.
We are celebrating a new edition of CONVIVE, the annual get-together that we hold in June, where colleagues from Saxun's headquarters and the rest of the production centres, distributed throughout the country, get together.
A meeting of colleagues in which we met more than 600 people, mainly from Sax, where our headquarters are located, but also from many other cities in Spain, corresponding to Saxun's 20 national production centres.
As usual, the day’s schedule dictates that we start early, especially for all the couples of gacha (oatmeal) lovers, to cook the gachamigas (oatmeal breadcrumbs) that we then enjoy at lunch.
From early in the morning, the Castell de Castell music band brightened up the day. Gachamigas and a band, a very indigenous tradition that allows us to claim our origins and history.
There was no shortage of classic entertainment such as the recreational area, this year with giant table football or inflatable attractions.
Saxun's main hall became an improvised theatre to host the day's stellar performance by the great comedian and illusionist Luis Piedrahita, who left us all expectant and pleasantly surprised with his witty humour and incredible magic tricks.
The rest of the day was a great deal of fun and camaraderie: a giant paella for lunch, live music from the group Mía Música, a DJ session, and a visit to the Glitter Bar to fill the rest of the afternoon with colour and glitter.
In addition to all this, there was a prize draw, where luck was on the side of ten lucky winners, with prizes such as a stay in San Sebastian, with a reservation at Martín Berasategui's restaurant. Congratulations to those lucky ones.
A day that improves Saxun team cohesion and promotes a healthy and motivating work environment.
