At Saxun we are committed to the principles of sustainability, integrating key objectives such as circular economy and waste reduction into our processes and products.
As part of this commitment, we have taken on exciting challenges and research initiatives such as the RECERCO project, which has allowed us to demonstrate that industrial waste can have a second life.
RECERCO is a project that we have developed together with the Institute of Ceramic Technology (ITC) and the Technological Institute of Plastics (AIMPLAS). Through this collaboration, we have confirmed that it is possible to reuse waste from ceramic production as secondary raw materials, which can even be used in the manufacture of PVC profiles.
As a leading company in the production of construction materials in the Valencian Community, we have actively collaborated in this project. Our laboratory team has succeeded in formulating a type of PVC that maximises the incorporation of fired pot waste, ideal for use in the manufacture of shutter profiles.

This project has allowed us to give a new life to ceramic waste, promoting the circular economy and working towards the generation of zero waste.
At our company we firmly believe in the sustainability of our processes and products, and we will continue to collaborate in initiatives such as RECERCO, which allow us to move towards a more environmentally friendly industry.
